Mountain Golf

unparalleled Mountain Golf

The acclaimed Mountain Course at Spruce Peak reaches an elevation of more than 1,800 feet and features rock outcroppings, wildlife at every glance, and sweeping views of both Spruce Peak and Mt. Mansfield. Enjoy world-class hospitality as you play up, over, and around the Green Mountains.

Course designer Bob Cupp noted that: “Once every few decades, a spectacular sight for golf appears. Such is the case at the foot of Mount Mansfield in Vermont. There may be no finer collection of short par fours anywhere in America.”

The Mountain Course

Known as Bob Cupp’s “Mountain Masterpiece,” the Mountain Course is a standout example of modern mountain golf. The front nine winds through alpine forests and alongside the snowmaking reservoir, Lake Peregrine, offering sweeping mountain scenery paired with a thoughtful, strategic design.

Don’t let the 6,411-yard length fool you—the Mountain Course plays tougher than it looks. On calm days it’s demanding; when the wind picks up, it becomes a true test. With a USGA Slope Rating of 151, it ranks among the most challenging courses in New England.
